Situated on 20 acres of
sprawling Ozark forest, Castle Rogue’s Manor
stands regally upon the limestone cliffs
towering over the White River & Tablerock Lake
near the northwest Arkansas village of Eureka
Springs. Presenting unparalleled scenic views
and 15,000 sq. ft. of fantasy, the Castle
provides the areas most unique wedding & special
event venue unlike any other. Private guided
tours are also available for individuals &
groups by appointment.
The Castle was designed & built over 16 years by
owner/resident Smith Treuer, whose worldwide
travels and love of art and history sparked his
creative genius to build a monument dedicated to
craftsmanship, architecture and family.
Growing up on a tree farm
owned by his parents, Smith’s Castle design and
materials honor native trees of the Ozarks by
incorporating their natural beauty into the
heart of its structure with a stunning mixture
of Black Walnut, Arkansas Red Cedar, as well as
salvaged Redwood & Douglas Fir from the Pacific
Northwest. All wood utilized in buildings
throughout the compound were aged & milled
on-site by local craftsman to enhance the appeal
of interior/exterior trim work.
This labor of love &
respect for nature’s beauty is an architectural
tribute to Nancy Nelson, the Mia & Fritz Treuer
Trust, the Erliss & Lyman Nelson Trust, and
Smith’s father & author - Robert Treuer. For
